Committees
The Board of Trustees oversees the mission,
programs, services and fiscal health of the church. The current President is
Kerry Hart. They do this work through
the following committees:
- The
Worship Committee provides support for the worship services by
offering programs in the minister's absence and supporting the Minister's
services as needed. The Chairperson is Steve Beison.
- The
Religious Education Committee provides an ongoing program of
lifespan religious education. Sharon Pedersen is the Religious Education Coordinator.

The
Social Mission Task Force coordinates the local and global outreach
of the congregation by providing and educating about service opportunities.
The church is exploring new opportunities. The Chairperson is
Jon Hart.
- The
Outreach Committee coordinates and plans free and open
discussions and programs on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month in Jackson
at the main library. Committee co-chairs are Lynn Hightower and Nancy
Smith.
- The
Membership Committee provides services
to newcomers and supports membership activities. The Chairperson is Kathy
Haynes.
- The Caring Committee provides support for members and friends in
need by making home and hospital visits, providing caring baskets and cards.
The Chairperson is Nena Obits.
- The Building and Grounds Committee focuses on growth and maintenance
of the facility and grounds. Contact Vic Marshall for information.
- The Fund Raising Committee seeks fun, innovative ways to increase
the church's financial resources. Contact treasurer Steve Beison for information.
- The Board of Trustees meets on the
first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. These are open meetings and a
good starting point for newcomers to learn about the church. The Board
President is Kerry Hart.
